Enjoyed your program today. My wife insists that her Hallmark “experience” does not get in the way of her Advent preparation. I am placed in the position of having to offer it up, though! The buzz word (buzz phrase?) that I got from Mass today was taken from the homily: Make an effort to remove your (spiritual / religious) mask! It was an admonishment to not be content with personally normative ways of viewing Advent, but to embrace a more expansive meaning of this season of watching and waiting.
