I was just talking to another priest this morning about this very thing. I have had some direct experiences of God lately, but I’ve had your #2 response. Why me? Why now? Should I be afraid of full of joy? What if I am both at once? I’m still processing it all, but my priest friend to me to start by just accepting the grace. Ha! Just? It’s that “being known” that is frightening, but I’m trying.
